Montreal sound artist Monsieurmadam joins final-bounce to share new material ahead of their appearance as part of our Nuit Blanche program at PHI.
After the talk, we move into our communal listening session, where participants are invited to play works in progress for open feedback. Producers are encouraged to bring an audio file on a device that can connect to the mixer through an AUX input, whether it’s a draft you’re stuck on or a piece you’ve been shaping recently.
This part of the session is designed for attentive listening and supportive exchange, creating a space to share unfinished work, offer constructive insights, and learn from one another’s creative and technical approaches. The aim is to cultivate a setting grounded in care, curiosity, and community among music-makers.
- No limitations on music genres
- For sharing music it will be first come, first served – there will be a sign-up sheet at the door!
- Please bring a draft of no more than 5 minutes in duration
- There’s a limit of 6 drafts being played during the feedback session, with the possibility of playing your music out loud in a more casual setting past this point.
- Friends and folks simply wanting to sit in and listen to the session are welcome to do so!
Monsieurmadam

Monsieurmadam (they/them) is the sonic moniker of Montréal-based multidisciplinary sound artist Al Haytame Farsane, whose practice merges experimental electronic music, ritual vocal work, and diasporic memory. Moving fluidly between club culture and sound art, their compositions operate at the threshold of ritual and rave, using the voice as both personal archive and sonic force. Through field recordings, distorted harmonies, and textured rhythmic structures, their work explores migration, queerness, belonging, and the blurred emotional space between human and machine.
