DJ workshop + open decks
Local Spin is a monthly workshop series hosted by a different DJ each month at World Creation Studio. Designed for individuals interested in trying out mixing for the first time or DJs starting out and interested in brushing up on their mixing skills and sharing music with new friends.

SIM pushes the boundaries in Dancehall, Techno and UK Garage fusions. His work has been noted around the world, from the US to Jamaica, to the UK, highlighting key elements of the Hardcore Continuum. Taking up the sound theories of Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, King Tubby and Dave Kelly or Techno pioneers such as Plastikman or Jeff Mills, SIM explores the relationship between space, body and sound.
The Montreal producer has released more than 50 works, including several collaborations with 45Diboss, Epic B and Toumba, as well as remixes with Poirier, Leïla Lanova and Mina, among others. SIM was able to undertake several tours, including an American one in 2018, as well as in Europe in 2019, 2022 and a next one in 2023.
His latest releases include ‘Sulum EP’ on Darwin’s SPE:C Records, ‘Trance End’ on the French Label Riddim Supplies and ‘SINNAZ EP’ with NAP on the ISLA Records label, ‘Hollow’ on the NH V/A Vol. 4 by Nervous Horizon, and ‘Terminate EP’ on the same label.
